Problem Intersections - NW18th & Classen
Bill Elliott
The crossing of Classen at NW 18th is a problem for cyclists. The under street sensors work correctly, but the timing only gives 20 seconds of green light, not enough for a bike to get across. There are pedestrian buttons, but the curbs are raised in such a way that a cyclist has difficulty getting to them and getting back onto the street. This is a key intersection for OBS bike rides such as the weekly Donut ride.

I've had difficulty with the road sensors on 18th going westbound detecting me on my bike.
